Guidelines for Authors
Please send articles and book reviews to: info@holisticsciencejournal.co.uk
Articles should be 4,000-10,000 words, though longer articles will be considered. (Shorter articles on holistic science can be submitted to The Field Centre Journal of Research and Practice: http://thefieldcentre.org.uk/field-centre-research-journal/.)
Submissions should be made in Microsoft Word or Latex format. Colour diagrams and images are encouraged. All images should be high resolution with credits clearly mentioned. Submissions should be accompanied by a brief author biography in the third person.
Submitted articles will be reviewed before publication. Please respond to any requests for corrections and emendation promptly.
House Style
The Holistic Science Journal uses UK spelling and grammar.
The referencing style is Harvard. References are by author name, year and page number. e.g. (Franses 1982, 24). If the bibliography only contains one item by the author then the year can be neglected. The bibliography the end should be alphabetical by author surname with year, title and publisher. E.g. Franses, P. (1982) Stumbling across the World, Forum Books. Please do not use footnotes for referencing.
Bios and photos
All articles/papers for submission should include a brief bio of the author, 3-4 lines at the maximum, clear black and white high resolution photograph of self and an email address ( if you would like us to include that) and a website you wish us to include at the end of your article for people to reference or contact you via.
Content
Please submit original work which comes out of your own research, enquiry and experience. If it has been published elsewhere – please tell us where and when. Editors reserve the right to edit any articles/papers as required.
